BRYAN RIGG
I was born in Winscombe in the Mendips and now live at Stoodleigh in the Exe Valley. After studying at the West of England College of Art in Bristol, 1946-50 and 52-53, specialising in painting, I taught Art and Craft in secondary schools until early retirement in 1983. I taught evening classes at Swindon Art College and tutored in slipware at teachers' courses.
Other work at that time included designing and painting theatre scenery.
I have exhibited paintings, drawings, sculptures and 3D pictures in a variety of venues including a joint, 2 person show at Taunton Museum in 2006.
Recent pictures have largely been of a 3D architectural nature and small in scale - constructed from card - cut, carved, textured and sanded with found materials such as wire, foil, film and lichen and painted in acrylic. |
